Terminal and Serial Servers
Enable
any devices with serial data ports to send and receive information
over an IP Network, typical applications include Network Management,
Data Collection, Alarm Monitoring and Remote Access for the SOHO.
A good example is the Patton 2120 Single Port Terminal Server,

For
applications that require multiple Serial Ports the CXR TS 324
has 3 and the TS1134 has 11. Using ADSL and the Internet the TS
Servers offer an alternative to older style Multiplexers and expensive
Leased Lines, to connect Terminals and Printers back to a UNIX
host.

Micro
Bridges
With a growing number of devices using IP instead of traditional
serial data I/O ports such as CCTV Cameras, Industrial Process
Controllers, Remote Data Loggers, etc. A need has arisen for simple
low cost Ethernet Bridges with a selection of Serial Interfaces
for connection to X.21 (Kilostream), V.35 or RS232 Networks.
The
2121 Micro-Bridges from Patton are a good example of this type
of product, designed for direct connection to X.21 Kilostream
Leased Lines to provide a simple plug and play LAN Bridge. The
CT10/100 has a range of switch selectable interfaces and can be
used with Synchronous or Asynchronous Communications equipment
such as Dial-up modems

Modems
and Terminal Adapters
We offer a complete range of quality modems from Penril, CXR Multi-Tech
and Allied Data. Suitable for applications such as dial-up, dial
on demand, 2 & 4 Leased Line the modems can support Synchronous
or Asynchronous Data. A typical example is the Allied Data Tron
56K.

Our
range of Basic rate ISDN Terminal Adapters from Allied Data and
CXR include versions with 1 or 2 Data or Telephone ports and Digital
Modems. The Digital Modems enable small offices with only a single
BRI ISDN line to have a Remote Access System available that can
receive modem calls from the PSTN at data rates of up to 56Kbps.
