Baseband mDSL Modems for point-to-point applications

Our mDSL modems are designed to provide a high-speed alternative to expensive digital leased lines or wireless links for data and voice connectivity between local buildings.

Using private telephone cables or low cost Baseband Lines from BT, (provided both sites are in the same exchange area) speeds of up to 4.6Mbps are possible for distances of several Kilometres.

The modems are available with Ethernet 10BaseT, E1 G.703/704, or X.21/V.35 interfaces to cover a wide range of data and voice applications.

Ethernet 10BaseT
The Ethernet Bridge versions offer the simplest means of extending a LAN data between 2 buildings offering a plug and play solution. VLAN tagging is supported for multiple user group applications; a number of VoIP (Voice Over IP) options are available. IP Router versions enable connections to be made between different LANs or for use with a dedicated Internet Access service.
Application Note

E1 G.703/704
The G.703 interfaced versions provide an alternative to E1 circuits within a local area, typically used to provide a link between PBXs (up to 30 64K voice channels) or Routers. The units can also be used to extend an E1 link over existing copper pairs, achieving data rates of up to2048 kbps over distances of up to 4-5 km.
Application Note

X.21/V.35
The X.21 versions can be used to extend an X.21/Kilostream circuit or to provide a link between 2 Routers. For maximum flexibility the units can easily be configured for both DTE and DCE applications.

Dual User Interface X.21/V.35 and Ethernet Bridge/Router
Providing simultaneous Sync Serial and Ethernet I/P for fast always on link between LANs and PBXs the unit is also available with E1 drop & insert.

VDSL Ethernet Extenders
High Speed 10-15 Mbps Ethernet LAN extenders that operate over a single copper pair up to 1.3 km. Utilizing existing copper pairs such as Internal Telephone cables LAN access can be provided around a large site or building complex with the minimum of disruption.

DSLAMs
DSL line concentrators for use at a central location, 6 to 240 line units are available with full management and support for data rates of up to 9.6 Mbps. Typical applications include Internet POP sites, Distributing Ethernet around Hotels, Serviced Offices, Business Parks etc.
